Every Drop Counts

Our Vision
We envision a flood-resilient Houston where every household can capture and reuse rainwater to protect homes, conserve resources, and strengthen neighborhoods.
Our Mission
To reduce flooding, conserve water, and build climate resilience in Houston by expanding access to rainwater harvesting systems through education, community partnerships, and equitable distribution of rain barrels.
Our Core Focus

Stormwater Runoff
Owing to its massive urban sprawl, lack of zoning and miles of freeways, impervious surfaces (roads, roofs, parking lots) increase runoff volume, contributing to drainage overload and sometimes leading to flooding in the local bayou and other catchment areas. Capturing and reusing rainwater could ease its drainage load.

Water Conservation
Houston relies heavily on municipal water systems. Capturing rainwater reduces potable water use for landscaping and non-drinking purposes.
